HOW BAIL WORKS

What Are the Bonds We Work With?

Appeal Bonds

These bonds are to protect plaintiffs. The bond will guarantee that the appellant will have the necessary assets needed to satisfy a judgement if the appeal fails.

Appearance Bonds

An appearance bond is used when the courts have set a bond amount that must be paid to avoid going to jail.

Misdemeanor Bonds

Misdemeanor Bonds are for misdemeanor infractions. The courts opt for bail in almost all cases and the bail amounts are lower than most.

Felony Bonds

A felony bond is basically the same as a misdemeanor bond. It is used to secure bail for felony charges.

Surety Bonds

Surety bonds are like contracts that guarantee a defendant will meet certain criteria, such as paying a dept, contract commitments, or to perform work. The bond is a contract that ensures the defendant will complete the promised requirements.

Traffic Bonds

A traffic bail bond will allow a defendant to avoid going to jail for a much smaller amount than the total bail. The bond company agrees to pay the full amount of the bond if the defendant fails to appear.
